Mike attended Blackhawk High School, where he was a three sport athlete. While at Blackhawk Mike was part of four WPIAL Finals games, one in basketball (2008) where they were WPIAL champions, two in football (2006 & 2008), and one in baseball (2007). In 2009 Mike was a WPIAL all-star and selected to the all-section first team as a pitcher/outfielder. After High School he accepted a scholarship to play baseball at Division I St. Peter’s University, in New Jersey. After two seasons with the Peacock’s Mike Transferred to Pitt-Greensburg, where he was a standout not only on the baseball team, but as well as on the basketball team. In his Senior campaign Mike led the team in doubles, total bases, walks, RBI’s, putouts, ERA, and wins. In 2012, the team also set three season records with 37 homeruns (top 5 in NCAA DIII), .510 Slugging % (#1 NCAA DIII), and 297 RBI’s. Mike ranks atop multiple categories for the Bobcats; he is 9th in single season RBI’s, 9th in Career ERA, and 4th all-time in Putouts.
For three years Mike spent his summers coaching the Pittsburgh Panda’s in the Tri-State Collegiate Baseball League, where they won the league championship in 2014. Mike is the Director of Operations for All American Baseball Center and also serves as the pitching coordinator for Team All American working with all pitchers on all aspects of being a quality pitcher.
